The qualification process for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil is already underway. Canada hosted Caribbean side St Lucia in Toronto. The sides were 1-1 at the break but the Canadians fought hard and overcame their modest opposition 4-1.
This is probably the most surprising move in the English transfer window. Canadian born English international Owen Hargreaves has moved from Manchester United to neighbours Manchester city. He isn’t in City’s squad for the Champions League, but it’s still great news for Hargreaves, who has only manged to play 4 league games in the last 3 years. We wish him well!
